Second Stage Round 5: Grodno-93 - Tsmoki II 92-68

An interesting game for Grodno-93 (19-0) which hosted in Grodno 4th placed Tsmoki II (8-10). Leader Grodno-93 had an easy win 92-68. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Tsmoki II was better in fourth quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno-93 forced 22 Tsmoki II turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The former international guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89, agency: Mike Diesel) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international guard Dmitry Kuzmin (196-75) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Guard Roman Rubinshteyn (195-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Maksim Lyutych (200-97) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grodno-93 have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-0 record. Tsmoki II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Grodno-93 will again play against Tsmoki II (#4) in Minsk in the next round. Tsmoki II will play on the road against the league's second-placed COR-Borisfen in Mogilev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
