Regular Season Round 20: Rapla - Audentese/N. 94-76

Bottom-ranked Audentese/N. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 20th consecutive match to third ranked Rapla (13-7) 94-76 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Rapla. Audentese/N. was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rapla forced 20 Audentese/N. turnovers. Audentese/N. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) contributed with 17 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Taavi Jurkatamm (200-97) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Siim-Markus Post (185-97) added 17 points in the effort for Audentese/N.Five Rapla and four Audentese/N. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rapla maintains third position with 13-7 record having just one point less than leader TU/Rock. Loser Audentese/N. still closes the standings. Rapla will face Valga (#7) on the road in the next round. Audentese/N. will play against Parnu and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
