Regular Season Round 18: Sydney - Bendigo 90-83

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Sydney Uni Flames and 6th ranked Bendigo Spirit had identical 12-11 record. This time Sydney Uni Flames used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bendigo 90-83 on Friday night. Bendigo Spirit trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 24-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-90 at the end of the game. Sydney Uni Flames made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Joslyn Tinkle (190-90, college: Stanford) who led her team to a victory with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. International guard Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Belinda Snell (180-81) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Bendigo Spirit. Five Sydney Uni Flames and four Bendigo Spirit players scored in double figures. Sydney Uni Flames (13-11) moved-up to fifth place. Bendigo Spirit lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost.
