Regular Season Round 39: Echague - Obera TC 79-77

A very interesting game took place in Parana. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Obera TC (14-16) to fifth ranked Echague (14-17) 79-77 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 25-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. Echague dominated on the defensive end, holding Obera TC to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Obera TC 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Obera TC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Lisandro Ruiz Moreno (183-89) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Sebastian Cabello (202-82) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Diego Brezzo (206-84) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Joaquin Giordana (182-90) added 14 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Echague maintains fifth place with 14-17 record. Obera TC at the other side keeps the third position with 16 games lost. Echague will have a break next round. Obera TC will play on the road against the league's second-placed Union SF in Santa Fe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
