Regular Season Round 20: Pogon RS - Wisla Krakow 80-84

There was a small surprise in Ruda Slaska where eleventh ranked Wisla Krakow (6-13) defeated 8th ranked Pogon RS (9-11) 84-80 on Saturday. Strangely Pogon RS outrebounded Wisla Krakow 43-26 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mateusz Piotrowski (198-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Jakub Zaczek (203-96) who added 16 points during the contest. Forward Aleksander Maslanka (195-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Pawel Mol (180-87) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Wisla Krakow and four Pogon RS players scored in double figures. Pogon RS's coach Boguslaw Mol gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Wisla Krakow moved-up to tenth place in Group C. Loser Pogon RS keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Wisla Krakow will face higher ranked Alba Chorzow (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
