Leader Alcobendas recorded the seventeenth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Plenilunio (11-8) 90-65 in Madrid. The game was mostly controlled by Alcobendas. Plenilunio was better in second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Plenilunio 38-22 including a 27-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for center Aitana Cuevas (187-86) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Paula Palomares (174-84) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. Swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) came up with 17 points and point guard Laura Velasco (172-90) added 7 points respectively for Plenilunio in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Alcobendas. They maintain first place in Group B with 17-2 record. Plenilunio lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Alcobendas' next round opponent will be Leganes (#4) at home. Plenilunio will play against the league's second-placed Rivas Promete and hope to win that game.
