Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Almeria (8-11) outleveled on the road 13th ranked Andratx (3-16) 90-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Almeria. Andratx was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Almeria especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Power forward Alicia Gonzalez (187-86) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Beatriz Fernandez (165-91) chipped in 16 points. Four Almeria players scored in double figures. Guard Belen Mejias (180-91) produced 26 points and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Neus Amengual (-95) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Almeria maintains tenth place in Group B with 8-11 record. Andratx lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Almeria will face Barcelona (#14) at home in the next round. Andratx will play against Sant Adria in Sant Adria de Besos and hope to win that game.
