Regular Season Round 20: Domino Inowr. - AZS UMK Torun 71-62

Very important is a road loss of second ranked AZS UMK Torun (14-6) against sixth ranked Domino Inowr. (9-10) on Saturday night. Visiting AZS UMK Torun was defeated by Domino Inowr. in a tough game in Inowroclaw 62-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS UMK Torun. Domino Inowr. forced 20 AZS UMK Torun turnovers. The winners were led by forward Marcin Majer (199-88) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and guard Rafal Borowicz (187-87) supported him with 15 points. Four Domino Inowr. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) did not help to save the game for AZS UMK Torun. The former international center Dawid Przybyszewski (215-81, college: Vanderbilt) added 14 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Domino Inowr. maintains sixth position in Group A with 9-10 record. AZS UMK Torun at the other side dropped to the third place with six games lost. Domino Inowr. will play against Trefl II Sopot (#7) at home in the next round. AZS UMK Torun will play against Itago Gdynia (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
