Very expected game in Lugo where 11th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (10-12) was defeated by seventh ranked Burgos (12-10) 76-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Burgos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Burgos outrebounded Leche Rio Breogan 38-22 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Javier Vega (205-88) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Austrian Anton Maresch (191-91, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 7 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Burgos players scored in double figures. At the losing side Pep Ortega (201-84) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Daniel Lopez (188-82) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Leche Rio Breogan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Burgos moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Castello. Loser Leche Rio Breogan keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Burgos will face Palma (#9) in S'Arenal in the next round. Leche Rio Breogan will play on the road against Castello in Castellon and hope to win that game.
