Serie B top team - Roma E-basket (21-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Roma S.Azzurra (9-14) 83-56. Roma E-basket made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Roma S.Azzurra turnovers. Naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Giulio Casale (187-91) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Roma E-basket players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Stefan Nikolic (198-97) answered with 12 points and 5 assists and Serbian Lazar Nikolic (202-99) added 13 points in the effort for Roma S.Azzurra. Roma S.Azzurra's coach Germano D'Arcangeli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Roma E-basket maintains first place in B with 21-2 record, which they share with Udine APU. Loser Roma S.Azzurra dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Roma E-basket will face league's second-placed Napoli Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Roma S.Azzurra will play against Cassino (#4) and hope to win that game.
