Regular Season Round 19: Alcazar - Casvi 81-75

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Alcazar (12-4) won against at home 11th ranked Casvi (5-11) 81-75 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Casvi trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 27-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-81 at the end of the game. Casvi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian center Goran Oluic (203-88) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) chipped in 5 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) produced 31 points and forward Walter Cabral (200-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Alcazar. They maintain third place in Group B with 12-4 record having eight points less than leader L'Hospitalet. Casvi lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Alcazar will face Torrelodones (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Casvi will play against Estudiantes B and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
