The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls' (18-15) home victory over 7th ranked Yokohama BC (16-19) 99-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Yokohama BC was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iwate Big Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 38. The best player for the winners was American forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: Interperformances) who scored 25 points. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Iwate Big Bulls. They maintain sixth place with 18-15 record. Yokohama BC lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face again Yokohama BC (#8) at home in the next round.
