Regular Season Round 19: Peja - Ylli 111-89

Leader Peja delivered the sixteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Ylli (6-10) 111-89 in Peje. The game without a history. Peja led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Ylli's 48. Peja forced 32 Ylli turnovers and had a 25-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Ylli's players. It was a great evening for American forward AJ West (206, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). The former international forward Drilon Hajrizi (203-91) helped adding 26 points, 6 assists and 8 steals. Four Peja players scored in double figures. Peja's coach Pavic Branimir felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Urim Zenelaj (212-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Montrael Scott (190, college: Prairie View A&M) scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Peja maintains first place with 16-1 record. Loser Ylli keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Peja will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ylli will play against Kerasan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
