Very predictable result in Tarnobrzeg where tenth ranked PGE Turow (10-12) defeated 16th ranked Stabill (4-18) 94-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 14 points. PGE Turow outrebounded Stabill 45-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. PGE Turow's coach Piotr Ignatowicz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Jakub Zalewski (184-86) who recorded 20 points and 7 assists and American-Nigerian point guard Mfon Udofia (188-90, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points respectively. Five PGE Turow and four Stabill players scored in double figures. Despite that victory PGE Turow went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Stabill lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth place with 18 games lost. PGE Turow will meet MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#12) on the road in the next round. Stabill will play against Trefl (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
