There was no surprise when 14th ranked ADBA (1-18) was edged on the road by eleventh ranked Badajoz BF (7-12) 52-51 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-10. But ADBA won second period 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Swedish guard Ozlem Alkan (174-90) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Hungarian center Viktoria Vincze (189-87) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Badajoz BF's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) produced 18 points and Congolese center Bashala Emilie (196-94) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Badajoz BF moved-up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with RC Celta and Cortegada. ADBA lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Badajoz BF will face higher ranked C.Adelantados (#5) in San Cristobal in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADBA will play at home against Real Celta Vigo (#9) and hope to win that game.
