Regular Season Round 18: Melbourne - SEQ 81-67

Date: February 20, 2016
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th ranked SEQ (#4) in a game in Melbourne versus Boomers (#8) 81-67. The game was mostly controlled by Boomers. SEQ managed to win fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. International swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) supported her with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Boomers players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by Nigerian-American Ify Ibekwe (187-89, college: Arizona, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for SEQ. The former international Rachel Jarry (185-91) added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Boomers maintains eighth position with 8-16 record. Newly promoted SEQ dropped to the third place with nine games lost. They share the position with Dandenong.
