Important game to mention about took place in Camaguey. Seventh ranked Los Toros (8-12) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Tigres (7-12) 73-72 in the fight for the fifth place. Los Toros forced 20 Tigres turnovers. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Humberto Garcia (203-85) chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Salvadorean Yordanis Jaca responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and Yoanqui Mersia scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Los Toros moved-up to fifth place. Tigres lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Los Toros will play against league's second-placed Villa Clara in Santa Clara in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tigres will play on the road against Capitalinos (#3) in La Habana and hope to get back on the winning track.
