Very expected game in Kolobrzeg where 5th ranked Pelplin (11-8) was crushed by first ranked Kotwica (18-1) 108-74 on Sunday. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Pelplin's 38 and had 27 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Pelplin only scored nine points from the stripe. Kotwica forced 19 Pelplin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Pelplin's players. Pelplin was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Marcin Chudy (187-86) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) who added 24 points and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Bartosz Sarzalo (197-83) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Julian German (188-98) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 18-1 record. Newly promoted Pelplin keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Kotwica will face Koscian (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pelplin will play against the league's second-placed Asseco II (#2) in Gdynia and hope to win that game.
