Everything went according to plan in Czestochowa where seventh ranked AZS PCz (10-10) beat bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-20) 88-75 on Sunday. AZS PCz made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. AZS PCz outrebounded MKS DG 2 48-29 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Szymon Rynkiewicz (198-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) who added 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four AZS PCz players scored in double figures. Jakub Wantuch (195-98) responded with 22 points and Mateusz Szczypinski (193-98) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS PCz moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Alba Chorzow and Zaglebie. Loser MKS DG 2 still closes the standings with 20 games lost. AZS PCz will face Zaglebie (#5) in Sosnowiec in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against AZS AWF M. II (#11) in Katowice and hopes to get finally their first victory.
