Regular Season Round 23: C.de Latte BRE - Andrea Costa IM 66-59

An interesting game for C.de Latte BRE (16-7) which hosted in Brescia 4th placed Andrea Costa IM (15-8). Third ranked C.de Latte BRE managed to get a 7-point victory 66-59. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-6. But Andrea Costa IM won second period 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. C.de Latte BRE dominated on the defensive end, holding Andrea Costa IM to just 6 points in first quarter. Strangely Andrea Costa IM outrebounded C.de Latte BRE 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Davide Bruttini (203-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Mirza Alibegovic (197-92) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Francesco Amoni (201-84, agency: SPORTlab Agency) came up with 14 points and American guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: Robert Morris) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Andrea Costa IM in the defeat. Andrea Costa IM's coach Giampiero Ticchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. C.de Latte BRE moved-up to second place in A2. Loser Andrea Costa IM keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. C.de Latte BRE will meet Bologna Etern. (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Andrea Costa IM will play against Aurora Bsk Jesi (#13) and hope to secure a win.
