Regular Season Round 23: Aurora Bsk Jesi - Mantovana 70-69

Important game to mention about took place in Jesi. Thirteenth ranked Aurora Bsk Jesi (8-15) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-ranked Mantovana (16-7) 70-69 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Aurora Bsk Jesi forced 19 Mantovana turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Josh Greene (183-92, college: CS Northridge) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Neiko Hunter (201-90, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) helped adding 12 points. The former international point guard Fabio Di Bella (188-78) responded with 18 points and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Mantovana players scored in double figures. Aurora Bsk Jesi maintains thirteenth place in A2 with 8-15 record. Mantovana at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Aurora Bsk Jesi will play against higher ranked Andrea Costa IM (#4) in Imola in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mantovana will play at home against Tezenis VE and hopes to get back on the winning track.
