Everything went according to plan when third ranked Falconara (19-4) outplayed at home 15th ranked Martina Franca (5-18) 75-53 on Sunday. Guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 assists. Center Giacomo Eliantonio (206-88) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Falconara players scored in double figures. Center Ivan Morgillo (206-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and guard Stefano Cunico (190-93) added 9 points in the effort for Martina Franca. Newly promoted Falconara maintains third place in B with 19-4 record behind leader Forli, which they share with Bergamo. Loser Martina Franca keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Falconara will face Vasto (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Martina Franca will play against Mola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
