Regular Season Round 20: Trikalla - AGOR 87-58
Date: February 21, 2016
There was a minor upset when 8th ranked AGOR (8-12) was smashed on the road by eleventh ranked Aiolos Trikallon (7-13) 87-58 on Sunday. The game without a history. Aiolos Trikallon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to AGOR's 34. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) contributed with 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) replied with 16 points and his fellow American import guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for AGOR. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Koroivos and Lavrio. Loser AGOR dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Aiolos Trikallon will face higher ranked Kolossos (#6) in Rodou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
