Regular Season Round 18: Dandenong - SEQ 64-88

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Dandenong Rangers (15-9) against fourth ranked SEQ (15-9) on Sunday night. Host Dandenong Rangers were crushed by SEQ in Dandenong 88-64. The game was mostly controlled by SEQ. Dandenong Rangers was better in third quarter 20-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Dandenong Rangers 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Jordan Hooper (188-92, college: Nebraska) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Rebecca Allen (185-92, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four SEQ players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) with 20 points and forward Jacinta Kennedy (187-82) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. SEQ moved-up to third place, which they share with Dandenong.
