Second Stage Round 3: Beroe - Bashkimi 90-80

An exciting game was played in Stara Zagora. Bulgarian Beroe faced Kosovan Bashkimi. Host Beroe (2-1) defeated guests from Prizren (0-3) 90-80. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-80. Beroe looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Bosnian power forward Aleksandar Todorovic (206-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Auston Barnes (203-91, college: Bradley) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Beroe players scored in double figures. Beroe's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn, agency: Three Eye Sports) with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St., agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Beroe will meet at home Mornar Bar (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bashkimi will play against Teodo Tivat and hopes to get finally their first victory.
