The game between Top Four teams took place in Joensuu. First ranked host Joensuun Kataja (23-5) defeated second-ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (18-11) 84-79. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 40-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Kauhajoen Karhu outrebounded Joensuun Kataja 41-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Joensuun Kataja looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kauhajoen Karhu's players. The best player for the winners was British-Canadian forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. American Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Lawrence Kinnard (203-86, college: UAB) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Kauhajoen Karhu players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-5 record. Loser Kauhajoen Karhu keeps the second position with 11 games lost. Joensuun Kataja will meet bottom-ranked KTP-Basket (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kauhajoen Karhu will have a break next round.
