The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bascharage as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Bascharage defeated 3rd ranked Soleuvre in Kaerjeng 79-72. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Soleuvre won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Soleuvre 44-31 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American point guard Marcus Neal (196-86, college: Delaware St.) who scored that evening 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Belgian power forward Dimitri Jorssen (212-79, college: Utah St.) supported him with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bascharage players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by American power forward Derrick Barden (196-92, college: N.Colorado, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Soleuvre. International point guard Pitt Koster (182-89) added 27 points and 4 steals for lost side. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Soleuvre at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 18 games lost. Soleuvre will play next round against strong BC Mess trying to get back on the winning streak. Bascharage will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Residence at Bereldange.
