Second Stage Round 5: Limbazi - Livani 108-72

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Limbazi as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Limbazi smashed 9th ranked Livani at home 108-72. The game without a history. Limbazi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Limbazi forced 23 Livani turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Point guard Armands Osins (190-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Vents Veinbergs (188-93) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Limbazi's coach Andis Cirulis felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Eduards Viksna (198-93) answered with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Nauris Maskalans (198-83) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Livani. Five Limbazi and four Livani players scored in double figures. Limbazi (9-5) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Turiba. Livani at the other side keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Livani will play next round against VEF skola trying to get back on the winning streak. Limbazi will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked ViA in Valmiera.
