Very important is a home loss of third ranked Lobe Huesca (13-10) against seventh ranked Leyma Basquet (12-11) on Friday night. Host Lobe Huesca was defeated by Leyma Basquet in Huesca 78-64. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Leyma Basquet's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-6 extending their advantage to 14 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lobe Huesca to just 6 points in fourth quarter. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Gediminas Zyle (210-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Point guard Joan Creus (185-92) helped adding 10 points and 8 assists. Brazilian power forward Daniel Bordignon (206-96) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) scored 12 points. Four Lobe Huesca players scored in double figures. Lobe Huesca's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leyma Basquet moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FC Barcelona II and Castello. Loser Lobe Huesca dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Burgos. Leyma Basquet will meet at home CB Prat (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lobe Huesca will play against Leche Rio Breogan (#11) in Lugo and hope to secure a win.
