Regular Season Round 21: Tarvas - TTU 88-67

Date: February 26, 2016
Rather expected game when 7th ranked TTU (8-15) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked BC Rakvere (10-10) 88-67 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 53-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian guard Reinis Strupovics (190-87) chipped in 16 points. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (179-93) who recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Kiur Akenparg (190-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BC Rakvere maintains fifth place with 10-10 record. Loser TTU dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. BC Rakvere will meet league's leader TU/Rock in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TTU will have a break next round.
