No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Poitiers (11-8) won against on the road 15th ranked Saint Chamond (8-11) 94-86 on Friday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 8 points. Poitiers made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Saint Chamond outrebounded Poitiers 46-29 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) chipped in 20 points. Power forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (198-83) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Dustin Salisbery (193-84, college: Temple) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Saint Chamond's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Poitiers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-8 record, which they share with Provence Basket and Le Portel. Newly promoted Saint Chamond dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Poitiers will meet at home bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
