Second Stage Round 4: Residence - Grengewald 87-64

Everything went according to plan in Bereldange where first ranked Residence (10-13) outscored 4th ranked Grengewald (14-9) 87-64 on Friday. It was a key game for the top position in League. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-64. It was a great shooting night for Residence especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Oliver Vujakovic (192-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and British-Nigerian Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) who added 7 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Four Residence players scored in double figures. Residence's coach Amadeo Dias felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Laurent Majerus (204-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Christopher Torres (186-89) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Residence maintains first position in League with 10-13 record. Newly promoted Grengewald keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Residence will face league's leader Bascharage in Kaerjeng in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grengewald will play at home against Contern and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
