The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixteenth ranked Slask's (5-18) road victory over bottom-ranked MKS Start (3-19) 79-72 on Friday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 23-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jarvis Williams (203-93, college: Murray St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. The former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jaroslaw Trojan (207-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four MKS Start players scored in double figures. Slask moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Trefl Sopot. MKS Start lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Slask will meet at home higher ranked Anwil (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS Start will play against Wilki Morskie (#8) in Szczecin and hope to secure a win.
