Regular Season Round 20: Easo - Cantbasket 70-66

Rather expected game in San Sebastian where 6th ranked Cantbasket (8-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Easo (12-4) 70-66 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cantbasket won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Easo won last quarter 15-12. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Inigo Del Valle (188-87) who helped to win the game recording 6 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Inaki Nagore (174-91) who added 12 points and 4 steals during the contest. American guard DeAngelo Hailey (190-90, college: NW Missouri St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Miguel Angel Blanco (195-74) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Easo moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Estela and Ardoi. Loser Cantbasket keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Easo will face Ardoi (#4) in Zizur Mayor in the next round. Cantbasket will play at home against Zarautz and hope to win that game.
