There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Roma Luiss (12-12) outleveled on the road higher ranked Empoli (13-11) 88-69 on Saturday. Roma Luiss made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Empoli turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Giacomo Chiatti (183-86) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and Leonardo Marcon (189-95) who added 21 points and 6 steals during the contest. Four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Daniele Mariotti (186-84) with 17 points and power forward Michele Bei (200-90) scored 19 points. Roma Luiss maintains tenth position in B with 12-12 record. Loser Empoli dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Roma Luiss' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Palestrina.
