Regular Season Round 24: La Rochelle - SAP Vaucluse 69-81

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked La Rochelle (11-13) lost at home to twelfth ranked SAP Vaucluse (11-13) 81-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by SAP Vaucluse. La Rochelle was better in second period 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when SAP Vaucluse won last quarter 22-12. It was a good game for American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mali power forward Cheick Soumaoro (204-90) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four SAP Vaucluse players scored in double figures. Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (206-87, college: Florida Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for La Rochelle. SAP Vaucluse moved-up to tenth place, which they share with La Rochelle and Challans. SAP Vaucluse will face JSA Bordeaux (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
