Regular Season Round 21: Anwil - AZS Koszalin 72-52

There was no surprise in Wloclawek where 9th ranked AZS Koszalin (11-12) was outplayed by fourth ranked Anwil (17-5) 72-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. AZS Koszalin managed to win second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Czech swingman David Jelinek (196-90) who scored 20 points. The former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Szymon Lukasiak (205-87, college: Jacksonville, agency: Promotex) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and Czech center Adam Pechacek (207-95) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Anwil. They maintain fourth place with 17-5 record. Loser AZS Koszalin keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Anwil will meet Slask (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Koszalin will play against Rosa (#3) and hope to secure a win.
