Regular Season Round 18: Kvarner 2010 - Skrljevo 89-95

The most important game in the last round took place in Rijeka between second ranked Kvarner (12-4) and ninth ranked KK Skrljevo (7-10) on Saturday night. Kvarner was defeated by KK Skrljevo in a tough game at home 89-95. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 56-47 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. KK Skrljevo dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kvarner's 26 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Roko Rogic (185-92) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Jasmin Perkovic (205-80) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mauro Veljacic (183-93) who recorded 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Paolo Marinelli (191-95) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Skrljevo moved-up to eighth place. Kvarner lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with four games lost. KK Skrljevo is looking forward to face higher ranked GKK Sibenik (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kvarner will play against Jolly in Sibenik and is hoping to win this game.
