There was a minor upset when 4th placed Forssan Alku (11-10) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Aanekosken (7-13) 83-73. Forssan Alku was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a good game for center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Sequoia Holmes (183-86, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Management Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Guard Precious Bridges (165-92, college: Mercer) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Candice Warthen (165-92, college: Arizona) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Forssan Alku. Forssan Alku's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aanekosken maintains sixth place with 7-13 record. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Aanekosken will play against league's second-placed ViVe in Vimpeli in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Forssan Alku will play on the road against Peli-Karhut in Kotka and hopes to get back on the winning track.
