Regular Season Round 18: Osijek - Zabok 58-54

Very expected game in Osijek where 10th ranked KK Zabok (5-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Vrijednosnice OS (7-9) 58-54. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as KK Zabok took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vrijednosnice OS took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. KK Zabok was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward David Usic (206-93, college: Florida Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Robert Kujundzic (202-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Domagoj Vukovic (208-93) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Hrvoje Vucic (212-91, college: Walsh) added 14 points in the effort for KK Zabok. KK Zabok's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vrijednosnice OS moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Alkar Sinj and Gorica. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Vrijednosnice OS will play against Gorica (#5) in Velika Gorica in the next round. KK Zabok will play at home against Alkar Sinj (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
