Very important is a road loss of second ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (12-7) against fourth ranked JL Bourg (12-7) on Saturday night. Visiting SO Maritime Boulogne was defeated by JL Bourg in Bourg 72-57. The game was mostly controlled by JL Bourg. SO Maritime Boulogne was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JL Bourg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to SO Maritime Boulogne's 30. It was an exceptional evening for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import Brian Asbury (201-86, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. JL Bourg's coach Christophe Denis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Ferdinand Prenom (203-91) came up with 14 points and point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (180-95) added 11 points respectively for SO Maritime Boulogne in the defeat. JL Bourg moved-up to third place, which they share with Boulogne. JL Bourg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play on the road against Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer and hopes to get back on the winning track.
