Regular Season Round 42: Shinshu BW - Fukushima 83-91

The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Fukushima (22-14) played at the court of 7th ranked Shinshu BW (18-20). Fukushima managed to secure a 8-point victory 91-83 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) had a double-double by scoring 54 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Masaya Karimata (178-88) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Fukushima maintains fifth position with 22-14 record. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the seventh place with 20 games lost. Fukushima will meet at home league's leader Niigata Albirex in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play against the league's second-placed Akita Happinets (#2) and hope to secure a win.
