Regular Season Round 24: Orzinuovi GaGa - Battaglia 76-66

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Battaglia (4-19) was defeated on the road by second ranked Orzinuovi GaGa (20-2) 76-66 on Sunday. Orzinuovi GaGa looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Battaglia's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the former international center Roberto Chiacig (210-74, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Serbian David Paunovic (198-95) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Orzinuovi GaGa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in B with 20-2 record behind leader Forli. Battaglia lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 19 games lost. Orzinuovi GaGa will face Padova (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Battaglia will play against Vicenza (#7) and hope to win that game.
