Regular Season Round 24: Forli - Faenza 76-69

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Faenza (10-14) was defeated on the road by first ranked Forli (21-3) 76-69 on Sunday. Forli outrebounded Faenza 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Faenza was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marco Arrigoni (199-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Rodolfo Rombaldoni (193-77) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Forli players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Samuel Dal Fiume (185-83, agency: Interperformances) with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Jacopo Silimbani (202-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Forli maintains first position in B with 21-3 record. Newly promoted Faenza dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. Forli will face Trecate (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Valsesia (#5) and hope to win that game.
