Not a big story in a game in Kutno where 10th ranked PGE Turow (10-12) was defeated by sixth ranked AZS Polfarmex (15-8) 84-69 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-69. AZS Polfarmex outrebounded PGE Turow 48-28 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. AZS Polfarmex's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American Cameron Tatum (200-88, college: Tennessee) who recorded 18 points and swingman Jakub Karolak (196-93, agency: BeoExcell) added 11 points respectively. AZS Polfarmex maintains sixth place with 15-8 record. Loser PGE Turow dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. AZS Polfarmex will meet higher ranked Energa Czarni (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PGE Turow will play against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
