Regular Season Round 24: Napoli Basket - Roma E-basket 57-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-best Napoli Basket's (19-5) home loss to first ranked Roma E-basket (22-2) 57-67 on Sunday. Roma E-basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Napoli Basket's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Stanic (180-84, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 assists and naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Roma E-basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Nunzio Sabbatino (190-92, agency: Players Group) with 13 points and 5 assists and swingman Christian Villani (200-82) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Roma E-basket maintains first position in B with 22-2 record, which they share with Udine APU. Loser Napoli Basket keeps the second place with five games lost. Roma E-basket will face Venafro (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Napoli Basket will play against Catanzaro (#8) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
