Regular Season Round 19: MKK Siedlce - Gorzow 80-59

Bottom-ranked MKK Siedlce managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they outleveled tenth-ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski 80-59. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference proves that MKK Siedlce was well-prepared to that game. The game was mostly controlled by MKK Siedlce. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Ukrainian forward Oksana Kisilyova (188-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points. Ukrainian swingman Anna Olkhovyk (187-87) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Angel Goodrich (160-90, college: Kansas) scored 15 points and 4 assists. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MKK Siedlce maintains twelfth place with 3-15 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. MKK Siedlce will meet higher ranked Sosnowiec (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against Widzew and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
