Regular Season Round 17: Hainaut - Toulouse 63-67

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Hainaut (7-9) lost to eleventh ranked Toulouse (4-12) in Saint-Amand 63-67. It looked good early as Hainaut took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Toulouse took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. They outrebounded Hainaut 46-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. American forward Tianna Hawkins (191-91, college: Maryland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and international point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-94, agency: Comsport) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Joyce Cousseins-Smith (165-88) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and Czech forward Romana Hejdova (184-88) scored 18 points. Toulouse maintains eleventh place with 4-12 record. Hainaut at the other side keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Toulouse will play against higher ranked Nantes Reze (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hainaut will play against Charleville-Mez. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
