There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Maquinaria Ensino (10-10) lost to tenth ranked Cortegada (8-12) in Lugo 47-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cortegada. Maquinaria Ensino was better in second period 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cortegada made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Maquinaria Ensino was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Montserrat Gilabert (172-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points.
