Regular Season Round 20: Sammic ISB - Moron 67-78

The most important game in the last round took place in Azpeitia between third ranked Sammic ISB (13-7) and eighth ranked Moron (10-10) on Sunday night. Sammic ISB was defeated by Moron at home 67-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sammic ISB. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-67. Guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 5 assists. Power forward Jose Maria Morales (205-89) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Moron players scored in double figures. French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Norwegian Nikolas Skouen (193-90, college: Pepperdine, agency: Duran International) added 22 points in the effort for Sammic ISB. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Moron moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tarragona. Sammic ISB at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Avila. Moron is looking forward to face Clinicas Rincon (#9) in Malaga in the next round. Sammic ISB will play on the road against Zornotza (#11) in Amorebieta-Echano and is hoping to win this game.
